Day 8. But really day one.

Today it really starts. Our seriously heavy workload. It will be interesting to observe which of my fellow employees will be the first to have a meltdown.

It was a wiser man than me who one said "You must live every day as though your hair were on fire." I'm sure that's what the next week plus will feel like to all of us.

Just for a laugh, I think I'll call in sick.

Perhaps you didn't know you love team figure skating and slope style, America. Don't worry, by the time we're through with you you will. Or else.

By the way, yesterday after I left my iPhone on the Olympic transport bus, we took a poll at work as to whether I would ever see it again. At the end of the day the odds were running about 50-50 in Vegas .

I just got an email telling me it's sitting in lost and found at the IBC. Had it fallen into the wrong hands, my 500 pictures of my dog Wilbur might've ended up on a Russian cocker spaniel porn site.  Today I'm going to leave my wallet and my gold watch on the bus just to see what happens.
